Whilst
the yellow mute wire on the Sony Ericsson kit works in the majority of cases,
we have found with some vehicle and radio types, that this wire does not actually
give a full 0 volts ground signal causing the mute not to work. This can be
overcome on early kits by using a PC6-201B adaptor,
HCA-20 car kits with a PC6-209B adaptor and on
the HCB-30 Bluetooth car kit a PC6-215B can be
used.
