This is a "Premium" Nokia CARK-126 handsfree car phone kit installation into a 2003 model Vauxhall Vectra with the Vauxhall "Phone Pack option".
The MBC-15S cradle and antenna coupler AXF-15S was mounted on a Dashmount console bracket, which in our opinion, gives the best cradle position and neatest routing of the cables.
An Autoleads Cellular Telemute Interface lead the 06-102B was used to route the audio through the car stereo system as the car had been part pre wired for the phone and had a VDA phone interface cable behind the glove box. The customer specified this before purchasing the car and is not fitted as standard. The HUD (Head up Display) displays "MESSAGE" during a call, as the kit was a Newer Nokia one we also had to use an adaptor lead the 06-208B. The phones audio volume is controlled either directly via the handset or via the steering wheel remote controls.
The Nokia HFM-8 mic was mounted up by the interior light and the cable neatly routed under the headlining.
As the customer had specified the Vauxhall "Phone Pack Option" the car also had a Tri band FM/GSM/GPS antenna installed instead of the radio antenna which sits at the rear of the roof. Although the antenna was there the cabling was not, the customer had to get special cables made up from a combination of Vauxhall genuine parts and special connectors from a local antenna supplier. This meant we did not have to fit an additional car phone antenna to this vehicle but it worked out a lot more expensive at around 5 times the cost of a GSM glass mounted antenna.
