This is a "Premium" Nokia CK-7W Bluetooth handsfree car phone kit installation into a 2001 model Vauxhall Vectra 'B' with a standard CDR500 stereo system.
The CK-7W remote control button was located to the right of the centre console at the customers request. This also allows us to make a really neat job of hiding the cable. The customer also requested that we install a cradle MBC-15S and antenna coupler AXF-15S to allow the phone to charge and use an external antenna. This setup allows you to use the kit as a normal handsfree kit with Pop port type phones and with the option of bluetooth. If you have a phone connected via bluetooth and another phone is placed in the cradle, the bluetooth is disconnected and the phone in the cradle gets priority, a quick press of the remote reconnects the bluetooth device afterwards. The cradle and coupler were mounted on a Dashmount console bracket.
An Autoleads Cellular Telemute Interface lead the 06-102B was used to route the audio through the car stereo system, as the car had the Phone Pack Spec wiring behind the glove box, the Vauxhall CDR 500 radio displays "Message" on the HUD during a call. The phones audio volume is controlled either directly via the handset or via the remote control buttons or via the steering remotes. Voice dialing can be initiated with the remote button. As this was a newer Nokia kit we also had to use an 06-208B adaptor lead.
The Nokia mic was mounted up by the interior light and the cable neatly routed under the headlining.
A DG-510 flexible 'T Bar' type antenna was used for a more covert installation.
