A Premium installation of a Nokia CARK-91 handsfree car phone kit. The cradle was mounted on a Dashmount Console bracket with the Nokia 5110 handset fitted pictured above. Apologies about the image quality, this was taken before we got our new digital camera.

Premium Nokia CARK-91 car phone kit installed in a 2001 model Volkswagen Golf Mark IV

A “Premium” installation of a CARK-91 Nokia Hands Free car phone kit into a 2001 model Mark IV VW Golf.

The Nokia handset cradle is mounted on a Dashmount Console bracket.

It is a lot neater to fit a Tax Disc antenna to this vehicle, but, if required a Panorama Glassmount antenna can be fitted to the rear windscreen.

It is possible to mute the stereo on this vehicle without an Autolead, but, for full “Premium” through stereo operation, a VW GAMMA Autoleads Cellular Telemute interface lead is required. There are two types, if fitting a Bluetooth kit you will require a 06-083B plus the relevant adaptor. If a Nokia CARK-91 car kit you can use the 06-105B instead.

The microphone was mounted centrally up by the interior light and the cable was routed away neatly beneath the headlining.
