Premium Nokia CARK-91 car phone kit installed in a 2003 model Volkswagen Beetle

A “Premium” installation of a CARK-91 Nokia Hands Free car phone kit into a 2003 model VW Beetle with a GAMMA head unit.

The Nokia handset cradle is mounted on a Dashmount console bracket.

It is a lot neater to fit a Tax Disc antenna to this vehicle, but, if required a Panorama Glassmount antenna can be fitted to one of the rear side windows.

It is possible to mute the stereo on this vehicle without an Autolead, but, for full “Premium” through stereo operation, a VW GAMMA Autoleads Cellular Telemute interface lead is required. There are two types, if fitting a Bluetooth kit you will require a 06-083B plus the relevant adaptor. If a Nokia CARK-91 car kit you can use the 06-105B instead.

The microphone was mounted centrally up by the clock pod and the cable was routed away neatly beneath the headlining
