Why is it offline? where is my order?
I was trying to avoid this happening (was worried in case people thought I didn't exist anymore) but in all honesty me leaving the shop online when I'm not coping due to ilness and allowing orders to pile up hoping for a "good day" is causing me more problems than it is curing, I have some customers that I did contact in December before I relapsed so as far as protracted transactions, some people have been very patient with me and for that I thank them. For those that are not aware I run the business all by myself, I have been ill for several months and have simply not been coping to be honest, unfortunately, for a small business like mine, when I am Ill my business ceases to function and things pile up.
I'm going to take my doctors advice and take the shop offline, temporarily, this will allow me to catch up in my own time without adding more issues along the way, and to stop customers from being able to place orders and giving them false hope and disappointment.
To customers who received a confirmation of their order but order is listed as "awaiting confirmation" or who didn't get an email saying status has changed to "awaiting shipping"
I am truly sorry but no money has been taken from your card and your order has not been processed.
To customers who had orders as "awaiting shipping" and have not received an email saying your order was dispatched, money was debited to your card, as yet you wont have received any goods, instead of extending promises that "I'll eventually get your order to you" I'm just going to refund you all.
This will allow me to get up to date, clear any backlog, pay back any customers who require it and update any customers left "in the dark"
I have a couple of customers who sent me cheques I'll phone them personally.
I will not be taking phone calls or emails during this "catch up period" I am getting so many it is only adding to the backlog issues and is only slowing down the process of getting my business back to normal.
So the shop is going offline, for a temporary period, long enough for me to get myself and my business back in order. I cant really give an ETA bit am hoping to have got through most of it by this weekend.
