A "Premium" installation of the Parrot CK3100 Bluetooth Hands Free car phone kit into a Saab 9-3 Sports Saloon 2006 model.
The CK3100 LCD remote display screen was mounted to the top right of the climate control panel at the customers request. This allows great visibility for the screen, easy control of the kit and it allows us to make a neat job of hiding the cables.
An Autoleads Cellular Telemute Interface lead the 06-109B was used to route the audio through the car stereo system, this has a built in transformer as direct input to the stereo can result in serious damage to the stereo. The VDA connector is hidden under the left hand centre console panel. Phone volume can be adjusted via the remote steering wheel controls or from the stereo volume control button. As this was a Parrot CK3100 kit we also had to use an 06-423B adaptor lead.
Although SAAB have a factory fitted microphone in the centre light panel, the resistance of it is too high for the Parrot kit and to avoid complications we always use the kits own one for warranty purposes and for best sound quality. The Parrot mic was mounted up by the interior light and the cable neatly routed under the headlining.
The Parrot CK3100 kit does not support an external antenna.
