A “Basic” installation of a Nokia CARK-91 handsfree car phone kit in a 2001 model Peugeot 406.
The cradle is screwed into the fascia on the left of the centre console and the speaker mounted just below it on the passengers side. There are "No Holes" brackets available for Dashmount but some companies don't ask for these on older cars to save a little money. The microphone is located up by the centre light with the cable neatly routed away behind the headlining.
A Panorama Glassmount antenna is mounted on the rear windscreen. The newer 406 head units support radio muting, some of the older ones did not. It is possible to route the audio through the front two stereo speakers with the addition of an Autoleads Cellular Telemute Interface lead part number 06-050B.
The Peugeot 406 cars are workhorses and are typically used by sales reps to cover many miles, hence the grubby appearance of the interior on this vehicle!
