A "Premium" Nokia CARK-134 handsfree car phone kit installation into a 2001 model Peugeot 306.
The handset cradle was mounted on a Dashmount console bracket that sits to the left hand side of the stereo. The cradle cable can be hidden reasonably neatly with this bracket option.
There is a mute facility at the rear of the head unit on most Peugeot cars and this was used for this installation along with the Telemute lead. The head up display (HuD) displays "EXT MUTE" when a call is made. The phones audio was routed through the cars front two speakers by using an Autoleads Cellular Telemute Interface lead the 06-050B.
A Panorama Glassmount antenna was fitted to the rear windscreen as there is a high metal content in the heat reflective glass used to make the front windscreen, using a tax disc or strip type antenna on this glass can result in signal loss or even no reception at all! The Microphone was mounted near the interior light and the cable was routed neatly under the head lining.
