This DA-55 is an aftermarket conversion cable which plugs into your CARK-91 control box, it has a little box with the required conversion software in the middle and a Pop Port connector on the other end. Due to the reliability issues such as the release mechanism jamming with the EVO cradle, we hope this will be a far better solution as all the moving parts will be OEM Nokia. To upgrade your car kit you will require -
A full package of DA-55 + MBC-15S +AXF-15S costs only a fraction more than the EVO conversion cradle some retailers are still selling but as all the moving parts are original Nokia, reliability should not be a concern using this setup. Please note the DA-55 cable is NOT a genuine Nokia part! Quoted as suitable for Nokia - 6100, 6220, 6230, 6610i, 6820, 7250, 9300**, 9500** etc (** Different cradles req.) |
