A Premium installation of a Nokia CARK-91 handsfree car phone kit. The cradle was mounted on a Dashmount console mounting bracket with the Nokia 5110 handset fitted pictured above. Apologies about the image quality, this was taken before we got our new digital camera.

The cradle was mounted on a Dashmount console bracket and the cable routed neatly between the centre console fascia and the console carpet.

An Autoleads Cellular Telemute Interface lead part number 06-050B was used to mute the stereo and route the audio through the cars front two speakers. As older Mercedes cars do not have a radio mute at the rear of the head unit unless an aftermarket head unit has been fitted, you will need to use a Telemute lead to make the stereo cut out during a call.

The microphone was mounted near the interior light and the cable neatly routed under the headlining. A Panorama Glassmount antenna was fitted to the middle of the rear windscreen. We normally fit a glassmount, bodymount or bumper mount antenna to this vehicle. Mercedes GB do not like the use of covert screen mounted antennas so always check with your dealer to see if they would invalidate the warranty fitting one of these types of antennas. We have had no problems using tax disc antennas on Mercedes cars whatsoever.
