This is an "Executive" Nokia CARK-91 handsfree car phone kit installation into a new 2004 model Mercedes C Class C200 W203 model.
The cradle was mounted on a custom made colour coded leather Pod and the cradle cable was tucked neatly between the pod and the dash.
An Autoleads Cellular Telemute Interface lead part number 06-076B was used to mute the stereo and route the audio through the cars front two speakers. This lead is normally listed for the BMW 5 series, we had to modify it slightly to work with the new C-Class as Mercedes have moved on to the new 'Quadlok' type connector on this car and no lead is currently available. "Muted" is shown on the radio display when a call is in progress. The microphone was mounted near the interior light and the cable neatly routed under the headlining. A DG Systems quarter wave Glassmount antenna was fitted to the rear windscreen, we normally only fit a Glassmount, bodymount or bumper mount antenna to this vehicle. Mercedes GB do not like the use of covert screen mounted antennas so always check with your dealer to see if they would invalidate the warranty fitting one of these types of antennas. We have however, had no problems using tax disc antennas on Mercedes cars whatsoever.
