A "Mid range " Nokia CARK-91 Hands Free car phone kit installation in a 2002 model Jaguar XJ8 with Bose amplified head unit.
The handset cradle was mounted on a Dashmount bracket which sits to the left of the gear lever console. You can also get a nice high quality colour coded leather pod as well for a factory fitted finish but they are more expensive than the Dashmount bracket.
This vehicle had a “BOSE” amplified stereo system which Autoleads do not make a lead for! We did however, manage to mute the stereo on this vehicle, after taking out the entire centre console to gain access to the rear of the stereo head unit for the mute. The speaker itself was mounted on the passenger side plastic 'A' panel beneath the glove box.
The microphone was mounted centrally near the interior light and the cable tucked away neatly behind the head lining. A Panorama Glassmount antenna was mounted on the rear windscreen but you can also use a tax disc type antenna on this car.
