A Premium installation of a Nokia CARK-91 handsfree car phone kit in a Jaguar XJ8. The cradle was mounted on a Dashmount bracket to the left of the centre console fascia with the Nokia 6210 handset fitted pictured above.

A "Premium" Nokia CARK-91 Hands Free car phone kit installation in a 2001 model Jaguar XJ8 with standard non amplified head unit.

The handset cradle was mounted on a Dashmount bracket which sits to the left of the gear lever console. You can also get a nice high quality colour coded leather pod as well for a factory fitted finish but they are more expensive than the Dashmount bracket.

This vehicle has had a Jaguar factory fitted phone wiring loom plug installed and so it was possible to use this to plug in an Autolead Cellular Telemute interface lead . Most of the centre console had to be removed in order to gain access to the connector. The head unit displays "PHONE" when a call is made. The Autoleads Part number for the lead is 06-101B. N.B. This lead does not allow you to use the radio phone buttons!

The microphone was mounted centrally near the interior light and the cable tucked away neatly behind the head lining. A Panorama Glassmount antenna was mounted on the rear windscreen but you can also use a tax disc type antenna on this car.
