A "Premium" installation of the Sony Ericsson HCB-30 Bluetooth Hands Free car phone kit installed in a Jaguar X-Type 2004 model with a standard Jaguar stereo system.
The Sony Ericsson HCB-30 remote control button was mounted to the top right of the climate control panel.
An Autoleads Cellular Telemute Interface lead the 06-082B and 06-215B adaptor was used to route the audio through the car stereo system, the Jaguar does not have a mute on the radio and this lead was chosen instead of the 06-079B as it mutes the sound rather than having to make the stereo switch off during a call. The phones audio volume is controlled directly via the handset.
It is not possible to make the kit interface with the remote steering wheel controls or the factory radio phone buttons unless you get a Genuine Jaguar car kit installed at you local dealership which can run into many hundreds of pounds.
The Sony Ericsson HCB-30 mic was mounted up by the interior light and the cable neatly routed under the headlining.
