This is a “Basic” installation of a Nokia CARK-91 handsfree car phone kit into into a 2000 model Honda Accord.

This type of installation uses no additional parts apart from an external vehicle antenna and the Nokia CARK-91 kit. This is the budget option mostly used by company fleet vehicles. This type of installation will leave screw holes behind when the kit is eventually removed from the vehicle!

The handset cradle is screwed into the fascia at the left hand side of the centre console using the standard Nokia bracket. The kits own speaker was also used instead of an Autoleads Cellular Telemute interface lead and is typically screwed into the lower left hand side of the centre console, trying to avoid mounting places where the speaker can accidentally be kicked by the passenger.

A Panorama glassmount antenna was mounted on the rear windscreen and the microphone positioned neatly in a central position with the cable neatly routed behind the headlining.

There are Autoleads and Dashmount or Brodit brackets available for this car to avoid the screw holes but we often find that the "Basic" option allows for better hiding of the cradles cables and positioning of the cradle itself due to the hard plastic nature of the fascia.
