We do appreciate that not everyone is Technically minded. We do however, provide FREE technical support on any products that we supply to customers who wish to carry out the installation themselves.
N.B. You would be expected to have some technical knowledge yourself, we will not supply a complete A-Z of how to install your car kit, but we will offer assistance where appropriate should you get stuck. Please ensure you have all your vehicle and car kit details to hand when getting in touch with us and a 12 volt automotive test lamp or multimeter available for testing and configuration purposes.
If you are in any doubt about your own ability to install any of the products available from the online shop, you should always get a professional Installation company or Auto electrician to do the job for you!

The Sony Ericsson HCB-30 bluetooth handsfree car phone kit was one of the best Bluetooth kits we have seen on the market until recently. Apart from the control button being a little larger than the Nokia one the rest of the kit is very compact and very easy to install into your vehicle.
The current software version of this kit is Rev 2A. It is advised that you upgrade your phones current firmware for best compatibility when using this bluetooth car kit.
Phones that we have physically successfully paired to the HCB-30 car kit to date are the Sony Ericsson T68i, T610, T630, P800, Nokia 6310i and my own new Nokia 6820. From customer feedback in the technical discussion area we can also say that the Nokia 7610, Sony Ericsson K700i with latest firmware R2L worked perfectly well and even an Orange SPV C500 was able to use the voice dial features.
The boxed kit comprises of a control box, remote control button, microphone, speaker and power loom. It is possible to get the kit to work through your car audio system with the addition of an Autoleads Cellular Telemute Interface lead and a 06-215B adaptor lead that allows full "Plug and Play" with all Autoleads Telemute leads. Far better than using the HCE-16 advanced music mute which is only any good for standard ISO stereo systems and you have to still hardwire in for power.
There is no need for an external antenna with this kit as your phone is not physically connected to anything. You can purchase a separate phone cradle, some of which support an external antenna with the addition of a HCE-12 antenna coupler.
Pairing is pretty straightforward and full instructions are given in the handbook supplied with the kit. You will need to set up voice tags on your phone to use the kit properly and legally.

Remember not to hold your mobile when driving whilst using this kit unless it is fitted into a cradle, or you could be prosecuted under the new legislation!
