This is a "Premium" Nokia CK-7W Bluetooth handsfree car phone kit installation into a 2004 model Ford Mondeo with a 6000 model head unit.
The CK-7W remote control button was located to the right of the heater controls at the customers request. This also allows us to make a really neat job of hiding the cable. The customer also requested that we install a cradle MBC-15S and antenna coupler AXF-15S to allow the phone to charge and use an external antenna. This setup allows you to use the kit as a normal handsfree kit with Pop port type phones and with the option of bluetooth. If you have a phone connected via bluetooth and another phone is placed in the cradle, the bluetooth is disconnected and the phone in the cradle gets priority, a quick press of the remote reconnects the bluetooth device afterwards.
The MBC-15S cradle was mounted on a Brodit Proclip console bracket for the best cradle position, this does however obstruct use of the cup holder which is not a big issue on the Mondeo as there is another cup holder in the centre console.
An Autoleads Cellular Telemute Interface lead the 06-092B was used to route the audio through the car stereo system, the 6000 radio displays "PHONE" during a call, as the kit was a Newer Nokia one we also had to use an adaptor lead the 06-208B. The phones audio volume is controlled either directly via the handset or via the remote control button. Voice dialling can also be initiated with the remote button.
The Nokia mic was mounted up by the interior light and the cable neatly routed under the headlining.
A DG-542-F flexible Tax Disc type antenna was used for a more covert installation.
