This is a "Mid Range" Motorola V50 HFK9250A handsfree car phone kit installation into a 2001 model Ford Mondeo with a 6000CD Ford head unit.
The handset cradle was mounted on a Smartclip air vent bracket. This was chosen as a preference to the Dashmount console bracket as there is a pop out cup holder to the bottom left of the centre console and mounting the cradle there would obstruct it's use.
This installation did not utillise an Autoleads Cellular Telemute interface lead so the speaker was mounted on the left hand lower side of the centre console. An Autoleads cellular Telemute interface lead is available for this model ( 06-074B + 06-203B ) but it is not required in order to mute the stereo. We used the muting facility provided at the rear of the stereo and it displays "PHONE" during calls.
The Motorola "ball" type microphone was mounted in a central position and the cable routed neatly behind the head lining. A Panorama glassmount antenna was installed on the rear windscreen. It is also possible to fit a tax disc type antenna even on vehicles with a heated front screen as the elements do not go near the tax disc area.
