A "Premium" Installation of a Siemens C35i comfort handsfree car phone kit installed into a 2001 model Citroen Xsara Picasso.
We used a Dashmount console mounting bracket to give us the best position for the handset. Most of the cradle cable was hidden from sight, but unfortunately, due to the plastic nature of the dash on this vehicle, it is difficult to hide the cable between the trims. Note the curved dash layout of this vehicle, which is very similar to the new Honda Civic.
We used an Autoleads Cellular Telemute interface lead 06-090B and a Siemens adaptor 06-206B to mute the sound from the stereo and route the audio through the cars front two speakers.
The front windscreen on this vehicle has a high metal content due to the heat reflective glass that is fitted. We could not use a tax disc type antenna as the signal would not be good enough. Instead we mounted a dual band Panorama Glassmount antenna to one of the rear side windows for best reception.
The microphone was mounted up by the centre light and the cable neatly routed beneath the headlining.
