We do appreciate that not everyone is Technically minded. We do however, provide FREE technical support on any products that we supply to customers who wish to carry out the installation themselves.
N.B. You would be expected to have some technical knowledge yourself, we will not supply a complete A-Z of how to install your car kit, but we will offer assistance where appropriate should you get stuck. Please ensure you have all your vehicle and car kit details to hand when getting in touch with us and a 12 volt automotive test lamp or multimeter available for testing and configuration purposes.
If you are in any doubt about your own ability to install any of the products available from the online shop, you should always get a professional Installation company or Auto electrician to do the job for you!
If you are not a Technically minded person we do have an Installation Service .
This is the latest offering from Nokia. It is a Hybrid kit which combines the CARK-126 (which Nokia have now stopped producing) which catered for the Pop Port series of handsets and also the functionality of Bluetooth as well from the CK-1W. All of this is now combined in this one new kit the CK-7W. The high audio output problem that the CK-1W had, has been resolved in this latest Nokia car kit.
As with all Nokia car kits a mute wire is incorporated into the wiring loom (Provided your car stereo Head unit supports this feature!) to allow the stereo to mute during a call. The handset cradle, which is not supplied with the kit, for the Pop Port cable connector, is best mounted on a Dashmount or similar "No Holes" bracket. These are available to purchase from our Online Shop. To use an external antenna which is also not supplied with the kit you will also require an Antenna Coupler with the most common one being the AXF-15S. This is a passive coupler and comes with a micro fine cable and a connector of the male FME type. This can cause some interference issues with certain types of stereo, so if you are at all unsure, please contact our Technical Department. It is also possible to route the audio through the vehicles stereo system with the addition of an Autoleads Telemute lead and an Adaptor.
If you have two phones that you want to use the kit with, one Bluetooth only, and one that uses the optional cradle setup via Pop Port, here is some information for you. If you have a device connected via Bluetooth and you place a Pop Port Nokia phone in the cradle at the same time, this will switch off the Bluetooth device and switch over automatically to the phone in the cradle, overriding the Bluetooth one.

With the legislation passed in December 2003 regarding the use of a mobile phone whilst driving we think there may be an issue for people with Bluetooth car kits that you should be made aware of.
Most Nokia handsets only store 10 voice tags, when using the bluetooth kit and you need to access any other number than that on your voice tag list, you will have to pick up the phone, select the number, and hit send before the kit intercepts the call. Picking up the handset and scrolling through the menu whilst driving to make a call is now against the law as you will be holding the phone whilst driving.
