Siemens C35i fitted to a BMW 7 Series
A Mid Range Siemens C35i handsfree car phone kit pictured above. The cradle was mounted on a Dashmount vent mounting bracket. Apologies about the picture quality, these images were taken before we had our new digital camera.

This was a "Mid Range" installation of a Siemens C35i Comfort car phone kit in a BMW 7 Series 2000 model.

The cradle is mounted on a Dashmount vent bracket and the cable was neatly tucked away behind the glovebox trim. The connections on the rear of the stereo were of the older spade and pin type for which there is no Autolead available. Instead the kits own speaker was fitted to the small plastic 'A' panel below the glovebox in the passenger foot well. The microphone was fitted in a central position up by the interior light and the cable routed neatly away behind the head cloth.

BMW do recommend that either a Bodymount, Bumpermount or Glassmount antenna is used on this vehicle but we have had no issues using a covert Tax disc type antenna. If in doubt, ask your local dealer if fitting such an antenna will invalidate the manufacturers warranty.

We do not think there will be any call for an installation into the new BMW 7 series as it seems to have everything as standard apart from an automatic pilot but will update you if we carry out any installations in the future.
