This is a "Premium" Sony Ericsson HCB-30 Bluetooth handsfree car phone kit installation into a 2003 model BMW 3 series E46.
The HCB-30 remote control button was located to the right of the radio at the customers request, it can also be mounted down by the gear lever as well.. This also allows us to make a really neat job of hiding the cable.
An Autoleads Cellular Telemute Interface lead the PC6-060B was used to route the audio through the car stereo system, the BMW radio displays "PHONE" during a call, as the kit was a Sony Ericsson one we had to use an adaptor lead the PC6-215B. The phones audio volume is controlled either directly via the handset or via the remote control button.
The Sony Ericsson mic was mounted up by the interior light and the cable neatly routed under the headlining.
The HCB-30 car kit does not support an external antenna unless you use a cradle and antenna coupler suitable for your Sony Ericsson phone!
