Premium Sony Ericsson HCA-20 car phone kit installed into an Audi TT 2002 model

This is a "Premium" Sony Ericsson HCA-20 T68i handsfree car phone kit installation into a 2002 model Audi TT with an Audi Chorus head unit.

The Sony Ericsson HCH-28 T68i cradle was mounted on a Smartclip console bracket which just clips over the left hand alloy bar cover, this is not suitable for all cradle types due to it's proximity to the gear lever when selecting reverse, but it was fine with the T68i cradle on this installation. You can also get a leather phone pod as well for this vehicle which is our preferred method of mounting the cradle.

An Autoleads Cellular Telemute Interface lead the PC6-118B was used to route the audio through the car stereo system, the Chorus radio displays "PHONE" during a call, as the kit was a Sony Ericsson HCA-20 we also had to use an adaptor lead the PC6-209B. The phones audio volume is controlled directly via the handset.

The Sony mic was mounted up by the interior light and the cable neatly routed under the headlining.

The HCH-28 T68i cradle does not support an external antenna!
