This is a "Premium" Sony Ericsson HCA-200 handsfree car phone kit (Customer supplied kit) for the K700i installed into a 2005 model Audi A4 with a Symphony II head unit.
The Sony Ericsson K700i HCH-38 cradle was mounted on a Dashmount console bracket. As the cradle is very slim, the cup holder was not obstructed on this occasion
We routed the audio through the stereo using an 06-050B Telemute lead (with a small modification for the ignition) instead of the usual 06-118B lead (which requires a 5k resistor on this model head unit) along with an 06-409B Sony HCA kit adaptor lead, this is to try and avoid RF interference issues from the phone and audio distortion during a call. "PHONE" is displayed on the radio and the HUD between the rev counter and speedo displays during a call.
We used a DG Flexi tax disc type antenna for a more covert and tidy installation.
The microphone was mounted next to the interior light with the cable neatly routed beneath the headlining.
