This lead is virtually "Plug and Play" with BMW, Mercedes, Seat, Skoda and VW cars that use the newer Flat pin 'Quadlok' type connector plug. You will have to connect the pink mute wire on the lead into the corresponding bullet connector on the Autolead after testing the head unit to see which wire is the mute (see the forum for details). N.B. Most 2005> BMW models do not have a mute.
This lead is basically an 06-076B with a small modification for the ignition and uses an 06-018 type relay, this is to overcome the problem of 2005 onwards BMW cars no longer having a mute, the relay now mutes all the speakers without the need for one on the car.
There is a separate blue fly wire that needs to be connected to a separate ignition switched live feed which means that the lead is no longer 100% "Plug and Play" and some knowledge of vehicle wiring is required to obtain the correct ignition supply. Bluetooth car phone kits require this ignition feed to tell the kit to switch on and look for your phone.

WARNING! - When sourcing your separate ignition feed, use wire with at least a 5 amp load capacity, Always solder or use approved insulated Crimp type connectors (Skotch loks are NOT advised!) when splicing in, and fuse with a 2-3 amp fuse as close as possible to the take of point in case of short circuit.

Cellular Telemute leads are used when installing an aftermarket hands free car phone kit. Once installed the lead will mute your head unit and redirect the call through the vehicles front speakers. This Autoleads Telemute lead is now terminated with the NEW Nokia 4 pin Molex power plug as used by the CK-7W. If using another make of handsfree car kit you will require an Adaptor Lead for converting the Autoleads Telemute lead without chopping the wires and invalidating it's warranty. The 06-976B Telemute lead from Autoleads Is a Vehicle Specific type lead that does require a separate ignition switched live feed to be run. "PHONE" is displayed during a call on most vehicles (Not 2005> BMW cars as these have no Mute). You will get crystal clear audio reproduction through the vehicles front two speakers.
This lead is suitable for 12 volt negative earth systems only!
