When you wish to put your handsfree car phone kit through your stereo and make it mute during a call, and redirect the audio through the cars audio system, you will require an Autoleads Cellular Telemute Interface lead.
These are available from our Autoleads Cellular Telemute lead section of the online shop.
All Autoleads Cellular Telemute leads up until 2005 were made to the Nokia standard 6 pin Molex plug configuration as used in car kits like the Nokia CARK-91. Some newer leads will have the new Nokia 2002> 4 pin Molex connector, which means if you wish to install your Motorola kit then you may also require a 06-221B adaptor.
In order to use any Motorola handsfree car phone kit with any Autoleads Cellular Telemute Interface lead you will require the adaptor listed above. This simply plugs into the Nokia 6 pin Molex power plug on the fly lead of the Telemute and saves you chopping any wires keeping the warranty of the lead intact.
The plug and a small length of wire from your speaker that is supplied with your car kit will have to be cut and butt connected to the 3.5mm jack plug connector wiring supplied with this lead so that you can simply plug this into the speaker jack on the main Autolead.
The power loom on your Motorola kit also has to be cut back and butt connected to the adaptor lead as well. Whilst this is a bit more work than most other kits, it does save you chopping the main Autolead and keeps the warranty on it intact.
All Autoleads products should be Installed by a suitably qualified technician. We will not be held responsible for damage to the vehicles electrical system due to incorrect installation or misuse of the product.
We will however provide FREE technical support via e-mail, or our Technical support forum. You would be expected to have a good understanding of vehicle electric's and a suitable 12 volt test lamp probe available for testing and configuration purposes.
