To reduce the amount of Stock lines we have to carry we are now recommending you use the 06-118B Telemute lead as this is the exact same lead but with a separate blue wire for running to an ignition switched live feed if required.
All of the above listings relate to the Standard factory fitted Concert, Chorus or Symphony Radio's. This lead is not suitable for aftermarket accessory stereos such as Sony, Kenwood e.t.c. You will require a radio code and special radio removal keys to remove the stereo - PC5-132 available from the online shop.
This lead is suitable for Bose Amplified systems on Audi A3, A4, some A6 cars and TT models from 2001 to 2003.
For Non Amplified (Non Bose) units and when using a kit with a cradle with either no antenna coupler or passive antenna coupler fitted that is going to be mounted next to the radio, we recommend the 06-090B lead instead to help stop any interference issues.
Cellular Telemute leads are used when installing an aftermarket hands free car phone kit. Once installed the lead will mute your head unit and redirect the call through the vehicles front speakers. All of the Autoleads Telemute leads are terminated with the standard Nokia 6 pin Molex power plug. If using another make of handsfree car kit you will require an Adaptor Lead for converting the Autoleads Telemute lead without chopping the wires and invalidating it's warranty. Autoleads are saying this Lead is only suitable for A3, A4 and A6 cars up to end of 2003 unless fitted with the older versions of the head unit, Audi changed the setup on the very latest 2003/2004 models. This concerns Audi A3, A4 and and A6 models with the latest Symphony II head unit. These cars will require a different lead the 06-119B which supplies the mute and speaker interface only and you will have to hardwire in for power and earth feeds. Newer 2004 model Audi's have a new 40 way Quadlok type connector on the radio. The lead for this is in the development stage although, when it is available, you will have to go to the main dealers for them to set up the phone functions through the stereo, using an Audi computer before you take delivery of the car.
