This lead is not suitable for handsets that use a passive antenna connection such as Nokia CARK-126, CARK-128, CARK-132 or CK-7W due to interference problems with the GAMMA head unit during a call. If you wish to use one of the kits listed above you will require the 06-083B VW GAMMA Noise Free Telemute Lead (For passive phones) instead.
Cellular Telemute leads are used when installing an aftermarket hands free car phone kit. Once installed the lead will mute your head unit and redirect the call through the vehicles front speakers. All of the Autoleads Telemute leads are terminated with the standard Nokia 6 pin Molex power plug. If using another make of handsfree car kit you will require an Adaptor Lead for converting the Autoleads Telemute lead without chopping the wires and invalidating it's warranty. These leads supply your hands free car kit with power as well so you that you do not have to run cables directly to your cars battery.

The 06-105B Cellular Interface lead from Autoleads Is a VW, Porsche and Seat Only type lead . You will get crystal clear audio reproduction through the drivers front door speakers.
This lead is suitable for 12 volt negative earth systems only!
All Autoleads products should be Installed by a suitably qualified technician. We will not be held responsible for damage to the vehicles electrical system due to incorrect installation or misuse of the product.
We will however provide FREE technical support via e-mail, or our Technical support forum. You would be expected to have a good understanding of vehicle electric's and a suitable 12 volt test lamp probe available for testing and configuration purposes.
This lead is primarily designed to work with the GAMMA and BETA series of head units from VW but is not recommended for use with passive antenna type handsets. You will have to connect the bullet connectors to the green Audio input plug for the headunit. All GAMMA headunits usually have the Tel+ and Tel- inputs marked on a label on top of the radio, instructions do come with the lead. To aid installation it may be required that you move the CD Player to the top position and the radio to the bottom to allow you to tuck the lead into the space under the stereo.
!!!!! IMPORTANT !!!!!
Always check that the red wire that goes to the car kit is always 12 volt live and that the blue wire switches on and of with the ignition key! If it is the wrong way round either swap the connections at the bullet connectors. Failure to check this may result in a flat vehicle battery after a period of 48 hours. This is due to the car having an active speaker system and incorrect configuration leaves them powered on even when the radio is off and the keys are out of the Ignition.
Update 06-04-05 - lead is not suitable for VW Passat cars made after 2002 or VW cars fitted with Passat radio's, the mute is causing battery drain issues on these cars and the 06-083B should be used instead!
