The Audi A6 MMI lead is designed to fit all 2004> Audi A6 cars with MMI basic plus and MMI systems fitted.

Cellular Telemute leads are used when installing an aftermarket hands free car phone kit. Once installed the lead will mute your head unit and redirect the call through the vehicles front speakers. This Autoleads Telemute lead is now terminated with the NEW Nokia 4 pin Molex power plug as used by the CK-7W. If using another make of handsfree car kit you will require an Adaptor Lead for converting the Autoleads Telemute lead without chopping the wires and invalidating it's warranty. These leads supply your hands free car kit with power as well so you that you do not have to run cables directly to your cars battery.

The 06-099B Telemute lead from Autoleads Is an Audi MMI only lead that will mute the sound from the stereo and interfaces with the standard amp in the boot of the car. You will get crystal clear audio reproduction through the vehicles own front two speakers.
This lead is suitable for 12 volt negative earth systems only!
All Autoleads products should be Installed by a suitably qualified technician. We will not be held responsible for damage to the vehicles electrical system due to incorrect installation or misuse of the product.
We will however provide FREE technical support via e-mail, or our Technical support forum. You would be expected to have a good understanding of vehicle electric's and a suitable 12 volt test lamp probe available for testing and configuration purposes.
With the Launch of the new A6, Audi have taken the opportunity to introduce what is already fitted to the A8.
MMI (Multi-Media Interface), this integrated system offers an infotainment and control system.
By using the main rotary/push in rotary control button together with the control keys positioned around the control button as well as the function keys at either side of the terminal, the driver can control a multitude of parameters. Depending on the level of MMI chosen, there is a 6.5 inch monochrome or 7 inch colour display unit situated at the top of the centre console.
The MMI control is divided into four main sub-groups:
Two levels of MMI are available on the A6; MMI basic plus and MMI.
MMI basic plus offers the monochrome screen DSP sound system with radio, single-disc CD player (in glove box) and 10 speakers with DSP. A CD based navigation system can also be combined with this package, this uses arrow pictograms.
MMI comes with the 7 inch colour screen, a double tuner and a six-disc CD changer. This can also be combined with a DVD based navigation system.
Both MMI and MMI basic plus can be further enhanced by fitting a Bose surround system which features 5 amplified channels and electronic compensations of the car specific sound environment .(For this you will require 06-099B/BOSE!)
The 06-099B Telemute lead connects to the standard silver amplifier (NOT BOSE) in the vehicle boot on the left hand side; note this amplifier can be mounted behind an access panel or behind the whole trim panel (see images above). The amplifier heat sink is silver in colour. The MMI DSP system can be found with a full colour screen or a monochrome screen. A 5 metre speaker and power extension lead is included which is on the new Nokia 4 pin format (06-407B) but (as with all Audi cars after 2001) you will have to source your own ignition switched power supply from the fuse box on the drivers side of the car.
