This lead is virtually "Plug and Play" with BMW 5 series and BMW Mini cars that use the newer Flat pin 'Quadlok' type connector plug. You will have to connect the pink mute wire on the lead into the corresponding bullet connector on the Autolead after testing the head unit to see which wire is the mute (see the forum for details). N.B. Most 2005> models do not have a mute, if this is the case you will require a special lead the 06-976B and a seperate ignition needs to be sourced.
On BMW cars with Sat Nav, you should find the control unit in the boot on the left hand side (as you look into the boot) as pictured above on a 2003 BMW 3 series with Sat Nav and Harmon Kardon. If you have this setup, not only will you require an 06-076B, but you will also require a 5 metre power and speaker extension lead 06-407B, and the relevant adaptor for your car kit.

Cellular Telemute leads are used when installing an aftermarket hands free car phone kit. Once installed the lead will mute your head unit and redirect the call through the vehicles front speakers. This Autoleads Telemute lead is now terminated with the NEW Nokia 4 pin Molex power plug as used by the CK-7W. If using another make of handsfree car kit you will require an Adaptor Lead for converting the Autoleads Telemute lead without chopping the wires and invalidating it's warranty. These leads supply your hands free car kit with power as well so you that you do not have to run cables directly to your cars battery.

The 06-076B Telemute lead from Autoleads Is a Vehicle Specific type lead that does not require any configuration with BMW cars. "PHONE" is displayed during a call ( Not E60) . You will get crystal clear audio reproduction through the vehicles front two speakers.
