This lead is designed to work with the 3000, 4000, 5000 and 6000 series of head units from Ford (also non amplified 7000 unit made before 1998) with an 8 pin power plug. The pink mute wire will need to be inserted in the position shown here and cable tie it to the white/green wire to secure it. Some later models have the power and speaker plugs mounted horizontally but the idea is the same. Some base models do not have the mute plug, this lead can also be configured to turn the stereo off during a call when the mute is not available by changing one bullet connector over on the lead. Some basic stereos in the 3000 and 4000 range do not have a mute and the basic 1000 unit fitted to some vans has a smaller power plug for which you can use the 06-074B. The power wires can be soldered to the vehicle loom to make the 1000 work but will invalidate the one year RTB warranty on the Autolead!

Cellular Telemute leads are used when installing an aftermarket hands free car phone kit. Once installed the lead will mute your head unit and redirect the call through the vehicles front speakers. All of the Autoleads Telemute leads are terminated with the standard Nokia 6 pin Molex power plug. If using another make of handsfree car kit you will require an Adaptor Lead for converting the Autoleads Telemute lead without chopping the wires and invalidating it's warranty. These leads supply your hands free car kit with power as well so you that you do not have to run cables directly to your cars battery.

The 06-061B Telemute lead from Autoleads Is a Vehicle Specific type lead that does not require any configuration apart from one mute wire where supported. "PHONE" is displayed on the stereo during a call. You will get crystal clear audio reproduction through the vehicles own front two speakers.
This lead is suitable for 12 volt negative earth systems only!
