Cellular Telemute leads are used when installing an aftermarket hands free car phone kit. Once installed the lead will mute your head unit and redirect the call through the vehicles front speakers. This Autoleads Telemute lead is now terminated with the NEW Nokia 4 pin Molex power plug as used by the CK-7W. If using another make of handsfree car kit you will require an Adaptor Lead for converting the Autoleads Telemute lead without chopping the wires and invalidating it's warranty. These leads supply your hands free car kit with power as well so you that you do not have to run cables directly to your cars battery.

The 06-048B Cellular Interface lead from Autoleads Is a Volvo S40 and V50 Only type lead . You will get crystal clear audio reproduction through the vehicles own front two speakers .
This lead is suitable for 12 volt negative earth systems only!

We will however provide FREE technical support via e-mail, or our Technical support forum. You would be expected to have a good understanding of vehicle electric's and a suitable 12 volt test lamp probe available for testing and configuration purposes.
The 06-048B Volvo S40 and V50 lead is designed for non amplified audio systems on this car and interfaces directly with the rear of the head unit. Centre Dash removal is required to gain access to the head unit, although instructions come with the lead as a guideline on how to remove the head unit, we would not advise this as an install that should be done by a novice, if in doubt get a professional to do it for you.
The radio unit will not display "PHONE" or "MUTE" during a call, The display will continue to operate as normal, but the speaker circuit is broken (open Circuit) when the handsfree kit gives a mute signal. You may also require an adaptor depending on which kit you are installing, this particular lead currently uses the Nokia 6 pin power molex plug type.
Includes an inline tap off adaptor for ignition feed which connects to the cigarette lighter.
Using this lead in combination with your Handsfree car phone kit will mute the sound from the stereo during a call and redirect the audio through the cars front speakers.

The new Volvo S40 and V50 have the "floating" type dash as pictured on the right. If you get in the car from locked and start it up and a picture of a car is displayed on the head unit display, you may have the unamplified version and will require the 06-048B. Do Always check that you do not have an amp under the left hand boot carpet trim panel as some cars have one and syill display a picture of a car.
